Who we are

Building Leaders Through Basketball

NSN Red Leopards Basketball Academy CIC is a community-rooted youth development organisation based in East London. We use basketball as a powerful entry point to deliver structured progression pathways — building confidence, leadership, and long-term life outcomes for young people from diverse and often underserved communities.

We run weekly structured sessions in partnership with Future Youth Zone, engaging 15–20 young people per session and over 70 to date.

Our two programme strands serve different stages of the journey. Under 18s develop foundational skills, teamwork, and character. Young Adults (19+) step into leadership by earning coaching qualifications, taking on paid roles, and becoming the next generation of role models in their community.

A Pathway to the Next Level

Competing in the ULBL. Training in Valencia. Scouted for what comes next.

The League

ULBL

Our men's team competes in the United London Basketball League at a level comparable to National Division 2. Structured, competitive, and a genuine proving ground for players with ambitions beyond East London.

The Partnership

Petraher, Valencia

A two-way exchange with Petraher Basketball Club in Spain:

  • Petraher's professional coaches come to East London to run training camps
  • Our players travel to Valencia to train in a full professional environment alongside Petraher's squads

It's already working

In July 2025, four NSN players spent seven days in Valencia training twice daily with Petraher. One was identified by a Spanish coach at National Division 3 level, who expressed firm interest in signing him. We worked with him to weigh up the offer properly — and on his behalf, declined it, because it wasn't the right step for his long-term development. We're working with our Spanish partners to find an opportunity that genuinely fits.

A young person training in East London was scouted by a professional club abroad within a year of the partnership starting. The next opportunity might be for any one of our players.

Our Code

  1. Wait with purpose
  2. Read the game
  3. Move decisively
  4. Play with precision
  5. Be strong without being heavy
  6. Adapt without excuses
  7. Finish what you start
We don't rush the process. We read the game. And when the moment comes — we deliver.
